Mark A. Coffey is the group vice president of supply chain for Hormel Foods global operations and leads the company’s One Supply Chain organization, including procurement, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, research and development, quality management, and plant operations for both Refrigerated Foods and Grocery Products. Hormel Foods is a global branded food company with over $12 billion in annual revenue across more than 75 countries worldwide. Hormel Foods is a member of the S&P 500 Index and has been designated a S&P 500 Dividend King. Its brands include Planters®, SKIPPY®, SPAM®, Hormel® Natural Choice®, Applegate®, Justin’s®, Columbus®, WHOLLY® Guacamole, Hormel® Black Label® and more than 30 other beloved brands. Coffey started his career with Hormel Foods as a relief supervisor at the Ottumwa (Iowa) Plant in 1985. He held a variety of positions at several locations before moving to the Corporate Office (Austin, Minn.) in 1991 as product manufacturing manager for cured and smoked meats. Coffey was promoted to plant manager at the Houston (Texas) Plant in 1995 and held this position at Dold Foods (Wichita, Kan.), Osceola Foods (Iowa) and the Fremont (Neb.) Plant before being named plant manager of the Austin (Minn.) Plant in 2005. He was named vice president of affiliated businesses, Refrigerated Foods in 2011. In 2017, Coffey assumed the role of senior vice president of supply chain and was promoted to senior vice president of supply chain and manufacturing that same year. He was named group vice president of supply chain for Hormel Foods global operations in 2021.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in business and systems management from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management Executive Program.

Coffey serves on the board of directors of Applegate Farms, Jennie-O Turkey Store, and Mayo Clinic Health Systems – SE Minnesota Region.

Mark and his wife, Tammy, have three adult sons and live in Austin, Minn.
